Who We Are:

Iron Mountain Training Group was founded to address the need for professional firearms training in Southern Utah. Raised in a region where firearms are a part of our heritage, we recognized the absence of accessible, high-quality training resources. Our commitment to filling this void led us to offer expert instruction drawn from our backgrounds in military, competitive shooting, law enforcement and self-defense. We firmly believe that as responsible U.S. citizens, it is our duty to not only exercise but also understand and master our Second Amendment rights

We offer a comprehensive range of training services, encompassing introductory courses for pistol and rifle handling, competition shooting, shotgun proficiency, self-defense tactics, and advanced tactical training, among other specialized programs. Our training sessions can be tailored to suit individual needs, conducted either within a group setting or through private lessons. Our instructors, comprised of military veterans and extensively trained civilian professionals, are dedicated to serving members of our community, regardless of their skill level.

Instructors:

Pat Brower-

Pat Brower, the owner and operator of Iron Mountain Training Group (IMTG), is the driving force behind the company’s operations. A former Navy service member under the Naval Special Warfare Command, Pat served as a Gunboat Crewman, training alongside some of the most elite soldiers in the U.S. Military at Coronado, California. Although his time in the Navy was short, Pat gained invaluable leadership skills, teamwork experience, and a strong sense of grit.

In addition to his military background, Pat has over a decade of experience as a crew leader in wildland firefighting. Leading a team responsible for fire retardant operations, Pat plays a crucial role in supporting the aerial side of wildland firefighting, ensuring that fire retardant drops are successful in managing wildfires.

Pat also worked on ski patrol as a certified EMT during the winter months, adding emergency medical response skills to his already extensive knowledge base. His experience in this area further enhanced his ability to handle high-stress situations with composure and precision.

Pat’s professional journey includes working as personal security for high-profile cases, where he received extensive training in self-defense and weapon handling. His background in private investigation further sharpened his skills in problem-solving, observation, and situational awareness.

As a Master Class shooter in USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Association), Pat has trained under the mentorship of some of the world’s best shooters, including national and world title holders. His dedication to honing his skills has kept him at the top of his game and allows him to bring that same level of excellence to IMTG’s training programs.

Pat applies his diverse experience to IMTG, leading with a focus on practical shooting skills and real-world applications. His dedication to continuous improvement ensures that students receive top-tier training in a professional and accessible environment. Join Pat and Chris at IMTG for a training experience rooted in passion, dedication, and a commitment to excellence..
